A team of 8 UC Berkeley students is collaborating with the non-profit, Tibetan-run organization Tibetan Village Project in their initiative to bring clean water to rural villages in Tibet. This blog showcases the Berkeley team’s research and efforts as they work to design a simple, easy-to-use, and cheap water storage and purification system as well as fundraise for their trip to implement the design and collect data for future water infrastructure projects in Tibet. Ultimately the team will research methods of filtration in high altitudes, and this blog will serve as a database for new studies in high altitude filtration.
